2025 Theme: Holiness & Righteousness: A Kingdom Mandate
We thank the Lord for His faithfulness to us throughout this year. As we enter 2025, we want to set aside a time for cooperate Fasting and Prayer.
Why We Fast
Joel 1:14 Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land Into the house of the Lord your God, And cry out to the Lord.
Isaiah 58:6-8 6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
Matthew 17:21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
This year, our consecration period will begin on January 5th and end on January 26th. During this time, we encourage you to read and meditate on the daily scriptures and pray for the assigned prayer focus and as the Holy Spirit leads you. We encourage you to also write down your miracle requests and present them before the Lord during your prayer time. Please document the miracles that God is performing in your life as you fast and pray. Opportunities will be provided for you to share your testimonies. Revelation 12:11a says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.”
The three types of fasts that we are promoting are: Total Fast (No food for a specified number of days), Daily Fast (Sunrise to Sunset) or Daniel Fast (Fruits and vegetables). Please refer to the Fasting brochure for more detailed information.
