Community Day
Evangel hosts this community event with food, drinks, door prizes, and entertainment. Conveniently located on the church grounds, the purpose of the event is to bring families and friends together for a time of fellowship in an atmosphere that is buzzing with excitement.

Everyone is treated to a hearty meal of hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, ribs, and other summer time favorites. Children can enjoy a moon bounce, touch football, pony rides, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, and much more. There are also high-spirited basketball games for the youth. Simultaneously, people are blessed with praise and worship from Genesis, the Sanctuary Choir, the children, youth and adult dance ministries, special guests such as VIZION, A7, and our very own Patrick Cooper.

Additionally, Evangel hosts a family-friendly open mic event and a host of other activities.

Dorcas Clothing Ministry
Evangel's Dorcas Clothing Ministry is an ongoing ministry that provides free quality clothing. The clothing closet contains selections for men, women, and children of all sizes. In addition to being available whenever the church is open, Dorcas is also available by appointment. This ministry ships clothes within the US and abroad. Dorcas also sets up a special display during special ministry events. For more information, click here.

Martha's Table
Evangel has a longstanding partnership with Martha's Table, an organization committed to meeting the needs of the homeless in Washington, DC. We support the organization by providing food products on a monthly basis. We also pitch in to prepare and distribute food. Homeless Outreach
We reach out to homeless shelters in the surrounding area, preparing an Easter meal and conducting a Back-to-School drive to gather school supplies. 

Thanksgiving Blessing
Every Thanksgiving, Evangelites provide the names of dozens of families in need. Evangel Assembly donates a "Thanksgiving Dinner" to those families. Without this support, some families would find themselves overshadowed with feelings of sadness and dread during a time that is set aside to give thanks.

Each basket includes a turkey, a bag of potatoes, a host of vegetables, stuffing, yams, cranberry sauce, aluminum foil, dinner mints, and much more. On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, volunteers from the missions team and other ministries come together to assemble the baskets.

Christmas Blessing
The Christmas Blessing provides toys and other gifts for those within the Evangel family that are suffering hardships during the Christmas season. The Christmas Blessing also provides for the families of prison inmates.
