Rev. Eric Dorsey

Senior Associate Pastor – Ministries, Evangel Assembly

Rev. Eric Dorsey was born and reared in Boyertown, PA, a small town 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia, PA.  He is a devoted husband of 27 years to his beloved wife, Andrenna (Andi) and father of four wonderful children, Erika, Erin, Eric, and Elise.  After graduating from Owen J Roberts’s high school in PA, Eric joined the United States Marine Corps where he served his country honorably for 5 years of active and reserve duty and was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant. 

In 1984, he settled in the Washington, DC area.  In1986, he started his own business, Dorsey’s Custom Remodeling.  He has managed this business for over 24 years.

Eric is an ordained pastor at Evangel Assembly and has served there since 1987 in the following leadership capacities: Royal Ranger Commander for 3.5 years; Youth Minister for 9 years; Singles Leader for 3 years; Life Group Leader since 2001; and served on the Board of Elders for 7 years. He now serves in the capacity of Senior Associate Pastor of Ministries, providing leadership to various pastors and leaders of the following ministries: Boy Scouts; Evangel College and Career; Youth Ministry; Mission’s /Prison Ministry; Building Team Committee; Music and Fine Arts; Pastoral Care; Security; and Facilities Management. 

Eric has traveled extensively on several mission trips to the following places:  Dominica; Zambia; Uganda; Kenya; Nicaragua; Haiti; Philippines; Indonesia; Mexico; Trinidad; California; Alabama; New Mexico; and Washington, DC Homeless Outreach.  He has helped build and repair churches, feeding stations, classrooms for children, homes for the poor, and an orphanage in Kenya. 

Eric has a great desire to see the children of the world grow in the grace and knowledge of our loving Savior Jesus Christ.
