In 2003, when Senior Pastor St. Clair Mitchell declared Evangel Assembly a “Missions Church”, we traveled on our 1st missionary journey to Hermosillo, Mexico, building a feeding station for children. We also hosted our very 1st Missions Banquet.

Since then, Evangel Assembly's commitment to missions has grown exponentially. This includes partnering in prayer for missionaries at home and abroad; providing food, clothes, and other donations to meet the needs of others; taking the message of hope and love to those in prison; traveling to financially and spiritually impoverished areas to spread the love of God; and working side-by-side with missionaries in the field.

Under the leadership of Pastor Eric Dorsey, we have been blessed to travel to Zambia, Uganda, Indonesia, Philippines, Nicaragua, Mexico, Dominica, St. Maarten, Haiti, West Virginia, Virginia, Washington, DC., Alabama, California, New Orleans, and New Mexico.

Locally, Evangel hosts the following events dedicated to reaching the community: Community Day, Missions Week, and Hallelujah Night. The Missions Team also reaches those who are emotionally and financially distraught during the holidays by providing Thanksgiving and Christmas blessings.

In short, we have journeyed around the world to meet the spiritual and physical needs of God's creation, and we have discovered that there is so much work to do.

To that end, Evangel proudly partners with missionaries on the field. We provide monthly support to several missionaries. To further show our love and appreciation, we host our Annual Missions Week. For the missionaries and Evangelites, this week which builds to the Missions Banquet, is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. Our banquet is not only a time of fun and appreciation, it is a time of refreshing.

We are truly in the business of “Producing, Preparing, and Empowering Disciples for Kingdom Reign”. Whether across the ocean in Indonesia or here in our back yard for Community Day, Evangel is “Making a Difference.”

Evangel's Missions Team
The Evangel Missions Team coordinates and participates in many different outreaches throughout the year. We partner with ministries and missionaries to reach people in all walks of life. Our Missions Team works ceaselessly to increase prayer and support for missions, provides support to those in need, and creates opportunities to share God's love with those who are hurting.
