Team Alabama blessed Lowndes County by pitching in to repair homes within the community, finishing construction of a food pantry to provide groceries for those in need, and hosting Vacation Bible School to provide a fun and friendly atmosphere where children could learn about Jesus.

California
2004
In 2004, a team traveled to the Los Angeles Dream Center to minister to the surrounding community which was assailed by poverty, violence, and drugs. Team California helped with administrative work, performed various cleaning and maintenance tasks, and went door to door in poverty stricken neighborhoods to invite people to church for spiritual nourishment and a hot meal. The team also participated in street ministry, sharing the Word of God with young partygoers as they passed.

West Virginia
2004, 2007
Team West Virginia delivered performances, went door-to-door to spread the Word of God, and ministered to the elderly.

Louisiana
2005
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Evangel deployed a team of workers to New Orleans to help with the recovery effort. The team worked tirelessly beside aid workers to assist those in need.

New Mexico
Yearly
Each year, the US Missions Team partners with the Youth Ministry to visit the Navajo Brethen in Christ Mission in New Mexico. The first trip to New Mexico was in 2005. Evangel's youth made such an impact that we have been extended an open invitation to return yearly. The youth share their talents by ministering in song, dance, and drama. They also maintain contact with their new friends to nurture their relationships as they anticipate returning the next year.

International

The Commonwealth of Dominica
Yearly
Evangel travels to the island of Dominica to minister in various capacities. Evangelites have served the hungry through the ministry of the Lamb's Feast. The pastoral staff has ministered through leadership and praise and worship seminars. A construction team helped build a classroom on the church property in order to prevent the closure of a local private school. Evangel is currently in the process of establishing a library in Dominica.

Team Haiti worked alongside YWAM to serve the needs of women and children in Haiti. The team conducted a parenting seminar, played games with and ministered to youth and children, and assisted the staff at the YWAM base with their weekly events. Team Haiti joined YWAM's effort to revive the marketplace by rising early in the morning to clean the market before vendors arrived and returning in the evening to assist with cleanup.

Nothing could have prepared the people of Indonesia for the devastation that the tsunami of 2005 brought. No words could take away the sting of disaster, but a courageous team of Evangelites went forth to put faith in action and help a community heal. Team Indonesia traveled to Banda Aceh, an area that suffered the most devastation. The talented team was able to provide electricity for over 3000 people in a village that had been without power for days. For the first time, the community was able to turn on the lights at night. Though the team was not allowed to preach the gospel, God always provides a way. He sent the workers to literally bring light in a dark place. In return, they continue to receive an overwhelming expression of appreciation and love because someone cared enough to sacrifice when the people of Banda Aceh were in need.

Our Premier Missions Journey! A team of Evangelites embraced Pastor St. Clair Mitchell's vision and traveled to Mexico. The team worked side-by-side with the local missionaries to build a feeding station, repair and remodel a church and Bible School, and participate in ministry and evangelism.

Nicaragua | View Photos

During Evangel's first trip to Nicaragua in 2004, the team helped lay the foundation for a Bible School. Three years later, the team was able to return to see the finished building. To God be the glory! During the initial trip, Team Nicaragua not only helped with construction but also provided food and entertainment for children and ministered within the local churches. In 2007, a team returned to visit the women's prison, minister to children, and conduct a women's conference for the wives of local pastors and other women in leadership roles. The team was also able to assist with maintenance and building activities at the Bible School.

The Philippines
2006
In Philippines, the team participated in various evangelism activities, including children's ministry and street ministry.

Uganda
2007

Team Zambia blessed children and adults through ministry and evangelism. The team started a Bible Study that is thriving, tallying more than 50 participants.
